Hand-knotted
Every knot tied by hand. The finest rug there is. Hand-knotting is where the pile rug began, and it is still the peak of the craft. A weaver ties each knot around the warp and cuts it by hand. A 9 × 12 at 10/10 quality holds about 1.5 million knots, at about five seconds each.

About hand-knotted
Quality is measured in knots per square inch. The finer the knotting, the finer the detail. We weave in wool, silk and blends, in classic, transitional and modern designs.
A painter builds an image in brushstrokes. A weaver builds it one knot at a time.
Hand-knotted rugs are a large part of our Houston stock, many of them one of a kind.
